I am a Certified Yoga Teacher, Reiki Master, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Practitioner and a NYC Special Education Teacher. Four years ago, I was faced with adversity. Feelings of confusion, anger, and guilt embodied my life. I turned to Spirituality, Yoga, Reiki, and Meditation to completely turn my life around. Today, I live my life in the present moment by fully appreciating every experience and feeling connected to my soul, the earth and others around me. I now live to share my gifts, skills and infectious energy with others through the practice of Yoga, Reiki and with the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program (MBSR). As a Special Education Teacher, I have practiced Yoga, Meditation, and Mindfulness with my students from ages 4 - 11 years old and the effects and results have been gratifying. Yoga is the practice of binding the breath, mind, and body, as well as the heart and soul of our being. With daily practice of Yoga, layers of attachment, negativity, guilt, anger, resentment, and discomfort begin to peel away. With each unfolding layer, one discovers a glimmer and pure light lying beneath the center of being. This eternal light becomes more vibrant as one begins to live through their authentic and highest self.By living balanced and connected to our divine self, we are guided to understand the enigmas of life, such as, "Who am I?, What is life? and What is my life's purpose?" Let's create a more balanced, peaceful and happier life together as a community in a class where you will practice Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow and Hatha Yoga. Each of my classes is centered around a focus that will inspire and improve your life. Leave each class feeling stronger, more pliable, relaxed, and motivated to improve your practice. My mission is to have every man, woman and child become fully present in the art of living through the practice of yoga and meditation. Join me in creating this healthier and much-needed movement. The light in me sees the light in you.
